Exclusive use of The Barn 

You’ll have the privacy of exclusive use of the venue on your wedding day, plus access the whole day before to set up, and the day after to collect your belongings. 

Wedding breakfast for up to 150 guests

Your wedding breakfast will be cooked in our on-site professional kitchen and served by our experienced team. The Barn can seat up to 150 guests in the daytime.

Evening food for up to 280 guests

In the evening, your guests can enjoy a selection of tempting evening food options, including pizzas freshly baked in the wood-fired oven.

Handmade tables & wooden chairs for up to 150 guests

Our rectangle wooden plank top tables each seat ten people. These are complementated by vintage wooden chairs.

Lighting, neutral decor, coir carpet, cake table & props

Fairy lights, lanterns, neutral bunting and a foliage hoop adorn the inside, with atmospheric lighting outside. There’s also a seasonal foliage garland across a lace and waterfall light backdrop behind the top table and range of props to choose from, plus you’re welcome to add your own decorations. A cake table, optional log cake stand and cake knife are also provided.

Pretty informal gardens with country views

Our countryside setting provides the perfect backdrop for photos. There’s outside seating under sail canopies, outdoor kitchen, the lawn and a fire pit with logs.

There’s also plenty of car parking, and guests are able to leave cars overnight.

The Barn has a built in licensed bar.

Our staffed bar is licensed until midnight on Saturdays, and we sell a wide range of local and popular drinks at local pub prices. 

You have the option to provide your guests with daytime drinks with no corkage charge, or we can provide these for you for a sensible price.

Wedding coordinator, staff and equipment hire

Our experienced team will be on hand throughout the day. We take care of hiring all the plates, glasses, cutlery and other equipment required for your chosen menu, and we even lay the tables for your meal.

The Snug (new for 2020)

The snug is a comfy seating area by the bar for guests to sit with a drink for a chat.

Luxury loos (new for 2021)

Our unique, handmade* shepherd’s hut luxury toilets are provided for your exclusive use. There are three ladies cubicles and one gents with three urinals. There is a separate level-access toilet in The Nook (see below) for guests who might struggle with steps.

The Nook (new for 2021)

The Nook is a private dressing room for the couple to use. It features two dressing tables with chairs mirrors, a huge full length mirror and a comfy lounge chair.

Through a sliding door is a large shower room, complete with toilet, basin and shower.

This room is on ground level, providing your less mobile guests with a level access toilet.

Freedom to choose your own entertainment, photographer and florist

We don’t restrict which band or disco you choose for your wedding, but have plenty of recommendations if you need help. We also don’t restrict who you use for your photography/flowers/cake but, again, are happy to help.

Wedding venue with civil ceremonies licence in Somerset

Licensed for civil ceremonies

In addition to everything included above, we offer the option to host your wedding ceremony at Cott Farm. We are licensed for civil ceremonies both outdoors and inside. If you’d like to have your ceremony and reception in one place (so no need to worry about guests having to drive around after the ceremony!), you can choose to say your vows outdoors on our pergola with country views, or within the comfort of The Barn.

Wedding glamping

We also offer the option of ‘glamping’ on your wedding night. Our wedding venue campsite is available for your exclusive hire for the night of your wedding. Five luxury furnished bell tents are included in our glamping option, and there’s plenty of space for your guests to pitch their own tents. If you and your guests would like to stay overnight, you can enjoy a full English breakfast the following morning.
